Philippine College of Technology Hosts Startup Weekend Davao

Startup Weekends are 54-hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups.

The first Startup Weekend in Davao City is scheduled on the the 2nd weekend of November. Playing host is the Philippine College of Technology (PCT).

Originally known as Philippine School of Technology, PCT was established in 1993 by its Founding Chairman & CEO, Dr. Gener A. Balili. It initially offered short-term programs which included courses in typing, auto servicing, machine servicing and electronics servicing. Over the years, the school expanded its programs to include  Nursing Aide, Pharmacy Aide, Physical Therapy Aide, and Physiotherapy Aide Programs.

If officially became a college with the introduction of its first Bachelor of Science degree program in 2000. PCT now offers a total of 11 degree programs, 10 two-year programs, 5 one-year programs and 27 short-term programs.
